for irrigation As the BOD and DO values are well under the prescribed limit in both Godavari and Krishna rivers the water is considered as excellent for irrigational purposes. The values are less than three mg/l in almost all the monitoring stations on the rivers. On an average the DO figures show normal values i.e., 7.0 mg/l in both Krishna and Godavari rivers.
