Response on Tourism

1. Tourism of the wrong type that devastates ecology and heritage sites, besides leaving a lot of litter and rubbish has to be strictly prohibited. It is necessary to ensure that tourists become ecologically oriented and bind themselves to the do's and don't's that help in conservation. Ecological tourism should only be promoted especially in areas handling rich natural resources.
2. Lack of appropriate development as well as lack of publicity has limited the scope of several tourist locations in our state. The state could also develop new destinations for Buddhist pilgrims like Kondapur and Saligramam, or for beach lovers on the coastal line and other historical sites.
3. Private investment to develop infrastructure like hotels, transportation services, leisure centres, entertainment parks and other such facilities in key destination, may have to be encouraged if our state is to evolve into a bubbling tourist.
