PRESSURES
One of the major problems facing the industrial units is the waste water
treatment. A major cause for water pollution in the surrounding areas
of an industrial unit has been the waste water emanating from the factory.
While the callousness of certain industries in dealing with this problem
has brought us to a very critical juncture today, it can no further be
allowed to deteriorate.
Strict implementation of rules may only help us tide over the problem
and set matters right. The concept of Common Effluent Treatment Plant
(CETP) has to be seriously developed and effectively implemented to arrest
water pollution by the industries.
