constitute sand and shingle material comprising the following
- Bars
: Mouth or barrier bars are formed at the mouth of small streams
in the vicinity of Nellore.
- Spit
: Simple Spits (SP) have been formed at the mouth of creeks and
some of the tributaries of major rivers. Hooked recurved spits have
been formed at the mouths of almost all the tributaries of Krishna and
Godavari rivers, Kakinada spit being the most prominent.
- Island
: The tributaries of Krishna and Godavari, small crescent shaped
islands have formed.
