Tiger in AP

Andhra Pradesh has a tiger population which is under stress.However, steps have been initiated by the Forest Department and NGOs like WWF to restore the tiger habitats and facilitate the increase in tiger population. Apart from steps to check poaching, compensation for cattle kills by tigers has been increased, and decentralised payment procedures introduced.
